The total number of cadaver kidney donors increased steadily over the
period from 1984 to 1996, from 40 donors to 1,119 donors. The Hispanic
donors also increased from 4 in 1984 to 20 in 1996, but Hispanic recipients
outnumbered Hispanic donors.
