MOST AWARDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The Center for Balkan Development is honored
to announce the winners of the first Stari Most Awards. A
panel of 13 judges carefully reviewed nominations and selected
the following three winners from a pool of 23 candidates.
The winners will honored at an awards ceremony on Saturday,
October 16 at Boston College as part of the Lessons
Learned in the Balkan Conflicts conference.
Senator Joseph R. Biden, United States
Senator Joseph R. Biden has earned national and international
recognition for his strong support of U.S. involvement in
Bosnia and Kosova to ensure peace in the regions and advocate
for multi-ethnic and democratic societies.
Ylber Hysa, Kosova
Ylber Hasa–a political analyst, parliamentarian, columnist,
editor, and human rights activist–has tirelessly advocated
for a multi-ethnic, democratic, and independent Kosova
Amir Pasic, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Dr. Amir Pasic–professor, engineer, architect and urban
planner–is internationally recognized for his monumental
efforts to reconstruct the historic center of Mostar before,
during, and after the 1992-95 war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
